Tedd Evans began his construction career as a member of three-man framing crew building lakeside chalets in Hillsboro, New Hampshire in the spring of 1972. He was quickly employed as a laborer/carpenter with a small to medium sized builder of residential and light commercial buildings and began his career in earnest.

Mr. Evans worked in general construction and gained experience with stick-framing techniques, cement work (including forming and pouring cement footings, walls, and floors).  He became a proficient block mason frequently working on commercial and institutional projects.  Mr. Evans began to work with the crews responsible for much of the electrical, plumbing, and heating work.

Mr. Evans started operating his own contracting business and eventually began to specialize in plumbing, heating, and electrical installations.  He took a particular interest in solar energy and installed over 30 solar domestic water-heating systems in the late 70’s and early 80’s.  He became one of the most experienced solar installers in the area at the time. 

During the 1980’s, Evans Plumbing and Heating grew rapidly.  In the three years 1985 through 1988, Evans Plumbing and Heating Corporation employed over 40 plumbers and had revenues in the range of $2.5 million per year.

In 1989, Mr. Evans accepted the position of Plumbing Inspector for the City of Nashua and held that position until 2003 when he was promoted to Supervisor of Inspections. In 2005 he accepted a position in the Town of Bow, NH as the Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer. Mr. Evans then in 2008 took the position of Chief Building Inspector for the City of Concord until he retired in the beginning of 2018.

Mr. Evans is an ICC certified Master Code Professional.  He is a long-time member of the New Hampshire Building Officials Association and served 9 years as a member of the board of directors. Mr. Evans is a licensed NH Master Plumber and a licensed NH Gasfitter.

Mr. Evans has been actively involved in legislative efforts involving the building, plumbing and heating trades, and contributed to the effort of the establishment of a state-wide building code and frequently provides testimony to legislative committees. He is a member of the International Code Council.
